As
I walk down the corridor of life, Open
doors appear by my side. And
as I pass, to each one I turn, Staring
through each, its lesson to learn. Each
new lesson an opportunity, And
each one is possible for me. Chorus:
So says the young man,
Just starting life.
To the old man,
Who’s seen much strife.
And these are the anthems of the young. As
I walked down the path you now take, I
gazed into the mirrored lake, Often
catching glimpses of my self, And
wondering what would be my wealth. Yet
now as I come to the bitter end, I
see my wealth in what I did lend. Chorus:
So says the old man,
Who’s seen much strife.
To the young man,
Just starting life.
For those are the anthems of the young.
